Dressing the Table
Often when people buy a new saw they believe that they are set and ready to cut as soon as they take it out of the box. If you have watched the videos prior to this one you will realize that there is a lot of checking to do. Some saws are pretty well lined up out of the factory, others not. But even if everything is perfectly square and lined up -- you still need to dress the table to work well.
Dressing the table means adding oversized, protective or sacrificial material to the fence, extending and giving a grip to the miter gauge and even making sure that you have the right blade for the job at hand.
