The Flush Cut

The Flush Cut is probably the best known marvel of the oscillating tool.  Offset blades permit quick and accurate cutting of trim boards already installed in a doorway to allow for new tile or hardwood flooring to slide under the trim, perfectly flush. What is not so well known is how segmented blades allow cutting flush up to an obstruction, without scratching that second surface.

There are many more uses for flush cuts, and they are not limited to saw blades as both grinders and slicing knives can work flush to surfaces as well.
