Temperature Limitations: Above -20 C (-4 F) but with product above +5 C (+40 F) to flow easily.

Rain Limitations: Apply to a dry surface

Wind Limitations:  n/a

Humidity Limitations: n/a

Continuous Conditions: No rain for 1 hour

 

Comments: Butyl is rubberized caulking ideal for concrete, masonry and Pressure Treated Wood outdoors.  It works in a wide temperature range but the product itself should be above +5 C (+40 F) to flow easily.

 APPLICATION / INSTALLATION DETAILS

Butyl Caulking is actually a form of rubber.

It is excellent for adhering to concrete, masonry and Pressure Treated Wood and is often used to give a surface seal to foundation cracks.

It will not stick to other sealants or to asphalt -- so no good for driveways or roofs.

It is not for joints submerged in water for prolonged periods of time.

It is considered a speciality sealant, not a general caulking.
