APPLICATION / INSTALLATION DETAILS
Butyl Caulking is actually a form of rubber.
It is excellent for adhering to concrete, masonry and Pressure Treated Wood and is often used to give a surface seal to foundation cracks.
It will not stick to other sealants or to asphalt -- so no good for driveways or roofs.
It is not for joints submerged in water for prolonged periods of time.
It is considered a speciality sealant, not a general caulking.
